Seth-Aaron Martinez, Ph.D.

Dr. Martinez is a social science researcher, consultant, and award-winning author whose work centers on expertise development. At the individual level, Dr. Martinez investigates the cognitive, behavioral, and socio-emotional dimensions of mental model development. At the team level, Dr. Martinez examines team cognition and the utilization of shared mental models. In 2021, Dr. Martinez founded the Learning Strategy Lab whose work has been published in a number of journals that include, Advances in Developing Human Resources, Performance Improvement, and the Journal of Applied Instructional Design. He is currently the Associate Editor of the Journal of Nonprofit Innovation and also a brain-based executive coach, certified through the NeuroLeadership Institute.
